Some recent happenings in Justin Biebers life.

* Justin Bieber’s backstage behavior while playing Jason McCann on “CSI” has earned mixed reviews from at least one of his co-stars. In a French radio interview, Marg Helgenberger offered some candid thoughts on the “Baby” singer’s time as a guest star on the drama series. “I shouldn’t be saying this, but he was kind of a brat,” Helgenberger said of Bieber, quickly adding, “He was very nice to me.” “But he locked one of the producers in a closet,” recalled the actress. Bieber’s mischief didn’t end there – he also “put his fist through a cake that was on the cast’s table,” she said. Helgenberger did have praise for Bieber’s talent. “He’d never acted before. He’s better than you’d think.”
* A few days ago we reported that Justin Bieber’s stage crew refused to go to Japan for two concerts scheduled later this month over fears of radiation from the recent nuclear disaster. The crew argued it was unsafe to visit the country for the May 17 and May 19 shows, noting that Avril Lavigne and Slash have already cancelled their Japan concerts. We heard Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun told the crew that the singer didn’t want to disappoint the kids who had bought tickets, and noted that the Japanese government said it was safe in both Osaka and Tokyo. While some crew members are still bailing, Bieber is sticking to his concert commitments. He tweeted, “5 shows left of this leg of the #myworldtour! Manila, Hong Kong, Taipei, Osaka and Tokyo! Like I said…we are going to JAPAN! #supportjapan.”

* Teenage pop star Justin Bieber rushed to help his mother when her hair caught fire while blowing out birthday candles at a gig in Germany, Us Weekly reported Monday. Pattie Mallette, Bieber's mom, was celebrating her 35th birthday Saturday while her son was performing in Berlin. At the end of the show, Bieber called her on stage to present her with a birthday cake as the audience sang "Happy Birthday." As Mallette leaned in to blow out her candles, a few strands of her hair came too close to the flames and caught fire. Bieber immediately noticed and patted down his mother's hair to put out the fire. After the show, Bieber tweeted about the incident. "Sick show in Berlin," he wrote. "[B]rought @studiomama on stage 2 sing her happy bday but she lit her hair on fire with the candles. lol. i saved her."

* Days later, Justin Bieber's now-infamous haircut is still grabbing headlines and dividing fans. (You know you've arrived when your new 'do overshadows Jennifer Aniston's...) But if you're still pining for the Biebs' signature sweep of yore, you're in luck. A new Justin Bieber doll debuted at Toy Fair 2011, and it features a head of luscious, lovely locks. An offical from Bridge Direct commented that brand new for 2011 is the Justin Bieber doll with hair. It would be more exciting because, last year, only the plastic hair Justin Bieber doll was available. This year the Justin Bieber Doll with hair will also be available. Besides a rockin' mop top, the new Justin Bieber doll boasts a few choice accessories, including an MP3-enabled tour bus and new outfits!. Justin comes with accessories from his stage set—the drums, the keyboard, the guitar. It comes also with the heart-shaped cage he flew around in during some of his concerts. It's Justin at his best. Stay tuned for more news on the Justin Bieber doll with hair.

* Paramount Pictures has released a clip showing just that: the Biebs hanging out with some of his young fanatical followers. The 71-second promo shows Bieber — pre-haircut, of course — at an intimate gathering in Phoenix. While the pop star gives an acoustic performance on a small stage, his fans beg him to play "Baby," but he jokes, "I don't know that song." He then declares to a very young fan, "I'll only sing 'Baby' if you come up here and sing it with me." Cue the cuteness. The girl sits on his lap and together they belt out the hit single. This isn't the first time we've seen Bieber show off an easy, breezy way with his youngest fans. Last year, he popped up on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to surprise a 3-year-old Belieber named Cody who'd become an Internet sensation after her sister posted a video of her crying over the teen heartthrob on YouTube. As he tweeted later, "Makin faces with Cody!" The re-released "Never Say Never" represents an effort both to goose box-office receipts three weeks after the film's initial opening and to feed the Beliebers' seemingly insatiable appetite for anything and everything connected to the star. "We originally had a two-and-a-half-hour version of the movie, which we obviously couldn't release," Chu explained. "So we started to think about putting stuff back in that didn't have to do with our story but that we knew people would love."

* Bieber has worked closely with hairstylist Vanessa Price on his new ‘do, which complements his ‘very soft hair.’It is, unquestionably, one of the most important stories of our time: Justin Bieber’s decision to cut his gloriously swooping hairstyle into a close-cropped new ‘do, and the social ramifications thereof. And while Bieber himself has declared that he “doesn’t really care” what folks think of his new look, that hasn’t stopped the media from digging deep, covering all the angles in an attempt to ascertain just why JB decided to deny us all the pleasure of gazing upon his famous locks. The latest example of this comes from People magazine, which interviewed Bieber’s “longtime hairstylist” Vanessa Price and dared to ask her the toughest question of all: Why now?“He was ready,” Price said. “Cutting your hair is just part of the evolution and growing process for anyone, and I think he was just ready.” But perhaps grieving Bieber fans can take solace in the fact that this decision wasn’t made on the spot. Rather, JB had been considering the change for a while. It was, after all, a pretty big deal.“We’ve been talking about it over the last six months or so, more or less,” Price said. “It’s definitely been in the works for a while.” And once the decision to cut his hair was made, Price said that Bieber maintained a steely focus about just how he wanted his new ‘do to look. He worked closely with Price on the cut — his hair has always been a bit of a collaborative effort — and the end result is a haircut for the ages. “Justin has always been clear about what he wants done. That said, he trusts me to make the right judgment with it, we really orchestrate his hairstyle together,” Price said. “He knows what he wants and I know what will work best with his features and hair type … it’s like silk. He has very soft hair [and] I hope it stays that way forever.

* The Justin Bieber movie "Never Say Never" a complete Bieber immersion, recounting the rise of this multi-talented show-biz phenomenon from his undoubtedly rocking cradle in Stratford, Ontario to the fraught ten-day period leading up to his debut concert at that Holy Grail of venues, Madison Square Garden. Directed with pitiless efficiency by Jon M. Chu, it might feel a trifle long at 105 minutes—there is only so much anyone can say about a 16-year-old pop star of three years, however gifted—but he keeps things popping along, giving the fans what they want. This includes numerous shots of a shirtless Bieber, which elicited Pavlovian audience screams and made anyone of a more advanced age feel just a tad creepy. There's a very funny tribute to the star's infamous hair, with him narcissistically shaking it in slow motion and Snoop Dogg advising him to emulate his own pigtails, as "the extra stuff you can put on the ends gives the girls more to play with!"

* The biggest hair story at The Golden Globes belonged to R-Patz and The Biebs! They totally stole the show from the ladies by showing up with new looks! Robert Pattinson’s hair was totally RED last night! Maybe it’s for the reshoots he’s doing with Reese Witherspoon on Water For Elephants? And Justin Bieber’s hair was so different too! He changed up his signature style, with a slightly shorter, more messy look! In the interview that ran this month in Vanity Fair The Biebs hinted that he was getting ready to make a change to his signature locks. His usual thick block of hair that looks like it’s glued down to his forehead is GONE, replaced by a new, softer look. And we like it better! This new look is much more natural and seems like it will require much less effort and styling products! And R-Patz has been going back and forth from the Breaking Dawn set to the on-location site of Water for Elephants, so we wondered what his hair would look like last night. And it was RED!

* For those of you praying to your Justin Bieber altar and gazing disapprovingly at your Justin Bieber dolls, thinking, "That hair -- it's just not real enough," your luck is about to change. Justin Bieber Real Hairstyle dolls are headed to a store near you. And just to clarify, by "doll" I'm referring to a toy doll, not, like, an adult doll. Annnnnd I just made you really uncomfortable. Says the Justin Bieber doll manufacturer, "A new set of Bieber dolls will be released in August -- this time with a more lifelike version of his signature swoop haircut." I think I speak for everyone ever when I say, FINALLY. I mean, how long did you expect me to continue my tea parties and seances with my current doll featuring the un-lifelike version of Justin's signature swoop haircut? I'm a tax-paying citizen, I deserve a lifelike signature swoop. I wonder what kind of material they'll be using for the hair on the new Justin Bieber dolls. Are they going the Barbie route and using plastic, or will they shell out the big bucks and sew real hair onto the doll? Or will it be made out of what the real Justin Bieber's hair is made out of? Frankincense, myrrh and unicorn kisses? I guess I'll find out in six months when I buy seven of them.

* Justin Bieber has revealed that he thinks True Grit actress Hailee Steinfield is "cute."The Baby hitmaker, who presented an award with Steinfield at The Golden Globes earlier this month, was asked by chat show host Jay Leno if he met any "cool celebrities" at the bash to which JB replied: "I met Angelina Jolie…"Bieber continued: "I also met Hailee Steinfeld. She's really nice and talented." Leno then asked the teen heartthrob: "So what do you think, she kinda cute?" The Pray singer gushed: "I think she's cute, yeah. She's young though right?" Trying to play matchmaker, the Tonight Show host stated: "She's your age exactly." Bieber then dismissed Leno's best efforts, claiming that he thinks Hailee is "too young" for him, adding: "She's 14, I'll be 17 in less than a month."

* Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber's signature haircut reportedly costs him $750. The famous Bieber look allegedly comes with a big price tag, according to US Life & Style magazine. Vanessa Price is the hairstylist who created the 16-year-old's signature style in 2009, and she makes housecalls to Bieber to touch up her work. She told the publication: "I usually cut his hair every couple of weeks when he's on tour." Vanessa and Bieber had no idea the haircut would become so popular. Price added: "We both were shocked people cared that much about someone's hair!”

* Justin Bieber’s nail polish has reportedly sold out across the US. The teen sensation launched a line of varnishes through Nicole by OPI to be sold exclusively through Wal-Mart. And according to People, just weeks after going on sale, more than 3,000 stores are claiming that their stocks of the One Less Lonely Girl range have completely gone. The nail polishes are still available on Wal-Mart's website and will reportedly be carried in other retailers from next month..

* Justin Bieber was briefly hospitalized in Burbank, Calif. on Wednesday night after suffering an allergic reaction on the set of "CSI.". The pop star was wrapping up a day on the set, where he was reprising his role as troubled teen Jason McCann, when he experienced breathing problems and was taken to Providence St. Joseph's Hospital. Sources tell Life & Style magazine that Bieber met his doctor at the hospital, where he was treated and discharged 30 minutes later. A representative for the singer has confirmed the 30-minute hospital visit, telling the publication, "He's fine now and back on set". Bieber is still scheduled to be among the presenters at the Golden Globe Awards in Hollywood

* Canadian internet sensation Justin Bieber has admitted to yearning about a gift he wants this Christmas and so for fans and supporters out there, you might be surprised that you may even afford his gift. In addition, he should also be ready at how his remark may surprise him.
Yes, the 16 year old singer is hoping to get a mini-motorbike this season of gift-giving. Accordingly, Justin quipped, “My mum’s trying to figure out something to get me. I want a motorcycle – not a big one but a little pocket motorcycle. It’s miniature.” Apart from a present from her mother Pattie, the young Bieber also wishes that his good friend and mentor, Usher will also be able to give him something to which he says, “Maybe he could get me another car.” Earlier, during his 16th birthday, he was given a Range Rover.

* The 16-year-old Pop sensation wrapped up his tour Thursday night (Dec 23) in Atlanta, and teamed up with local radio station Q100 to give away a busload of toys to sick children who will spend this Christmas in the hospital at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Bieber and Q100 urged concertgoers to drop off toys and games at a huge tour bus stationed outside Philips Arena. Some of the gifts will be handed out to the children in the hospital who will be sick in the bed Christmas morning, and won’t be able to run downstairs with the other children to unwrap the gifts placed under the tree.

* Naturally, Season 10 American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez wasn’t the only one who sat down with Barbara Walters for her year-end 10 Most Fascinating People special. Teen Jingle Ball heartthrob Justin Bieber also shared some face time with the veteran TV journalist. Head below to hear The Bieb talk about being grounded by his mom and how he plans to maintain longevity in his skyrocketing career.
First, the true shocker for all Beliebers, regarding Justin’s hair: “I’m gonna cut it probably soon.”
Collect yourselves, readers, because next Babs goes for the hard-hitting questions, like what Bieber’s mom does to him when he’s grounded. “She’ll take my computer or my phones—you know, stuff that I really like,” Justin says. He later adds, “I’m like, Ma, I’m not like a little baby anymore. I’m 16. I’m not like a grownup by any means, but I’m 16. She’s scared that I’m growing up.” Bieber next tells Walters he doesn’t have a girlfriend, despite recent snaps that showed him kissing Jasmine V in the backseat of a car.
So what’s his plan for staying on top of the pop game over the next 10 years? Watch and learn in fascination.

* It looks like Bieber fever has finally reached a fever pitch! Justin Bieber cleaned house at the American Music Awards which took place tonight (21st Nov) at the Nokia Theatre L.A Live in Los Angeles. The sixteen year old, Canadian pop star took home 4 big awards including Favorite Artist of the year, Favorite Breakthrough Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, and Favorite Pop Album. The 16-year-old crooner reigned supreme, beating out Lady Gaga ,Ksty Perry, Eminem and Kesha for the coveted Artist of the Year trophy. Bieber took home the most awards of the night and when he accepted, made sure to thank Michael Jackson, who he says he wouldnt have been here without. He then continued to state that he is “from the smallest town in the world of like, 30,000 people,” and that he “never thought this was possible.” He showed the due recognition to his mentor Usher and brought him on stage with him during his final acceptance speech. Congrats!

* Justin Bieber hasn't had the best luck on stage. The singer reportedly hurt his knee while performing in Cleveland on Thursday night (11th Nov). TMZ reports that it's sprained, but we're not sure what the extent of his injury is. "I twisted my knee pretty badly," Justin reportedly said during the concert, but that didn't stop him. The 16-year-old continued performing like a pro.

* The Recording Academy says pop stars Katy Perry and Justin Bieber will perform at the Grammy Awards   nomination special. “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night” is set to air Dec. 1 on CBS at 10 p.m. EST/PST. Country singer Miranda Lambert, rapper B.o.B and singer-producer Bruno Mars are also scheduled to perform. Two-time Grammy-winning rapper LL Cool J will host the one-hour special. The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 13 on CBS. Additional performers and presenters for the nomination special will be announced later.

* Madison Square Garden: Almost all performers dream of once performing at the Madison Square. Justin Bieber just did that recently to a full house and had other biggies to performers with him on-stage, like Usher, Miley Cyrus, Jaden Smith, Sean Kingston and Ludacris and the teenager braved his sickness to be on-stage.

* Justin Bieber – Kim Kardashian and other ladies: Justin can be only 16 but he is not shy of sharing his feelings for older ladies. Be it having a little online fling with 29year old Kim Kardashian and doing a photo-shoot inspired by the film ‘The Graduate’ at Bahamas or telling the world he about his huge crush on Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry. Even stating that he would like to be in the same room with the ladies and be the “meat in that sandwich”.

* Acting Debut:  Justin Bieber also got the chance to be part of a major TV series ‘CSI’ and start his acting career this summer. It is now common knowledge that his character in ‘CSI’ will be recurrent as the series progresses. I think that me making a female fragrance is just a different idea and I think it’s going to be successful. I’m just really, really excited about it. It’s going to be really big.”
Justin, who teamed on the scent with Give Back Brands, a lifestyle products company committed to donating its proceeds to charity, added, “It’s for my female fans, and I want to create something that will have the girls go crazy.”
